The JW Marriott project has been selected as a finalist for the IUPUI recommendation report! Now we can move forward with this process and discuss what problem you would like us to tackle. 

 

The Voting Process

With the information from our meeting, I created a visual presentation to share with my class about the main topics we would be working on for the JW Marriott. I had 90 seconds to pitch the proposal to my class alongside 24 other students. Due to how extensive and time consuming each recommendation report is, we were only able to choose 5 finalists to ensure the highest quality of research and the JW report was one of the chosen finalists. 

 

What the Recommendation Report Includes

Now that we are able to move forward in this process, this is a list of what the recommendation report process will include and the final project. 

• 200 hours of exploration over a 10 week period

• Analyze current industry trends and best practices

• Design a local study specific to the topic you chose

• We will condense 100 hours of research into a 4 page report

• A completed website to house the recommendation report and an annotated bibliography

 

To start off this report my team would like to meet with you to discuss what topic the JW Marriott would like us to focus on. Once we get all of the information during this meeting, our team can take it from there.

• The scope of the project, what we will focus on ​

• What the JW Marriott has done in the past to address this topic​

• What do you expect our team might find/recommend as we learn more about the issue​

•  What are the best websites/ publications our team can read for industry standards and best practices?​

• Is there a budget in place that the team should keep in mind as you explore options/recommendations?​

• Who should the team contact if they have questions?

Dates we are free for the meeting:

Tuesday 12pm - 4pm 

Thursdays 2pm - 5pm 

The meeting will take between 30 minutes to an hour so let us know what works for you.
